2026 Annual Meeting Photos

At our 2026 Annual Meeting on June 10th, our members gathered to award $200,000 to six organizations that serve our region. The grand total our members have awarded to 31 local organizations since 2018 is now $1,611,360. Success Stories from 2025 Core Mission Grantee Joseph’s House of Camden

In June, Impact100 awarded $100,000 to Joseph's House of Camden, which has allowed them to provide increased, round-the-clock services to the homeless population they serve. The goal of their model is to help their clients stabilize by providing 24 hours of continuous shelter so they can ultimately move into permanent housing. In January, Joseph House reported that expanding their hours has been successful at shortening their guests' length of stay. This has allowed the organization to increase the number of people served from 515 in 2024 to 655 guests in 2025. Guests’ length of stay has been reduced by one month on average, indicating they are moving into housing faster. In 2024, 179 guests obtained housing as compared to 201 in 2025. Our 2025 $100,000 Core Mission Grantee penned this heartwarming thank you letter to the women of Impact100 South Jersey. Joseph’s House of Camden is a low-barrier homeless shelter that holistically and individually supports and empowers people experiencing homelessness in achieving stability and regaining control over their lives. Executive Director Colandra Coleman (2nd from left), expressed extreme gratitude for our timely support as they expand to serve the homeless 24 hours a day.

GRANTEE SPOTLIGHT: CASA Continues Its Expansion in Camden County

Grants

Newly sworn-in Camden County CASA Volunteers Impact100 South Jersey 2024 Core Mission grant recipient, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Atlantic, Cape May, and Camden Counties, is making strides in Camden County to provide needed one-on-one advocacy for children removed from their homes due to allegations of abuse or neglect. Impact100 South Jersey funding has allowed them to increase public awareness, build Camden County relationships, and increase volunteer engagement through community awareness, public relations, and media outreach. Over our years of service, CASA has paired thousands of children and youth living in foster care with a CASA Volunteer Advocate. Heart of Camden Using Impact100 SJ Grant to Transform Lives

Written by Ginny Delong Heart of Camden, the Impact100 South Jersey 2023 $100,000 Core Mission grantee, is making progress expanding programs and services provided by their Bridge Builders Project at the Michael J. Doyle (MJD) Fieldhouse. The core of their mission is to Improve the lives of women, children, and families living in low-to-moderate income households in the Waterfront South neighborhood, South Camden, and the City of Camden as a whole. Critical services provided by the Bridge Builders Project serve as a bridge to connect outside volunteers and supporters, educating them about the city and building stronger connections with the community. Grantee Spotlight: Alice Paul Institute

Impact100 South Jersey’s 2020 general operating grantee, Alice Paul Institute (API), celebrated its 40th anniversary in January with an open house at the newly renovated Paulsdale. Paulsdale is a National Historic Landmark and the home of local suffragist, feminist and political strategist, Alice Paul. API honors Alice Paul’s legacy through its commitment to education and leadership development through school programs, Scout programs and the Girls Leadership Council (GLC). API’s School Group Programming offers assemblies and in class programs to classes K-12, as well as field trips to Paulsdale. Younger girls and boys are introduced to the concept of civic engagement and creating positive social change through games and art. Programs for older students focus on the history of suffrage, voting, citizenship, integrity, leadership and social action. Grantee Update: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties

We are excited to share another story of growth and impact powered in part by Impact100 South Jersey members and grants! Impact100 South Jersey funded the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties (BBBS) Mentor2.0 program through a Core Mission grant of $100,000 in 2019 and a general operating grant of $55,500 in 2023. To date, 100 mentees have participated in the Mentor2.0 program. The program offers a great opportunity to make a big impact on a young life with limited in person hours. Mentor2.0 has a robust software component that provides an efficient way to mentor a high school student as they plan for their future and Zoom options for meetings.  Outcomes for the unique and impactful Mentor2.0 program, where college educated, professional mentors connect with high school juniors…

2024 Grant Review Update

Community Heroes Grant Update As we tread through our first year of the new Community Heroes Grants, we’re pleased to share that we received 39 applications from small nonprofits not currently large enough for our $100,000 Core Mission Grant. The Community Heroes Grant Review Committee, made up of 25 members, is reviewing these grants just completed their training and now the work begins. The goal is to whittle the field down to 6 organizations that our members will vote on before the Annual Meeting. We will announce the $10,000 grant recipients that night. We want to thank members of the Small Grants Committee and the Leadership Council for their work crafting this brand new opportunity to double the number of South Jersey organizations we fund. Grantee Update: Habitat for Humanity of Camden County

2023 grantee Camden County Habitat for Humanity was awarded $55,000 for general operation expenses, which they applied to their Aging in Place program that targets low-income senior homeowners struggling to stay in their homes because of the need for critical home repairs or accessibility modifications. Critical home repairs are those that affect the livability of the home and may include roof repairs, plumbing, heating and cooling, electrical, structural (floors, ceilings, walls) and water infiltration repairs. Impact100SJ liaison Sharon Reel learned that this award recently helped 8 senior citizens with accessibility repairs enabling them to stay in their homes. Our 2023 $100,000 Core Mission grantee, Heart of Camden (HoC), is committed to enhancing the quality of life of the South Camden community through programs for housing restoration, economic expansion, and community development. Impact100 South Jersey’s grant furthered that mission by funding the expansion of programming and services provided by the organization’s Bridge Builders Project at the Michael J. Doyle Fieldhouse. Through education about the City of Camden, the Bridge Builders Project connects critical services provided by outside volunteers and supporters to residents, young people, women, and women with children and families to build a stronger community.
