Here’s an opportunity to create your own volunteer experience by connecting directly with our grantees at your convenience. Each organization that our members have supported since 2017 is listed below, along with some of their volunteer needs. You can volunteer by yourself or invite friends, co-workers and family members get involved with the organizations we’ve supported through collective giving.
You don’t have to be a member to make a difference for these organizations that serve Burlington, Camden, Gloucester & Cumberland County.
Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation
Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation (ARVF, Corp.) is located in Voorhees, NJ and provides age-appropriate programs and activities to enhance the quality of life for hospitalized teens battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Since 2002, Victorious 4 Teens (V4T) programs have supported over 70,000 critically ill teens with V4T programs during hospitalization.

Alice Paul Institute
Interested in history, women’s equality and mentoring the next generation of women leaders? The Alice Paul Institute (API) is celebrating its 40th year of furthering the work of local Equal Rights champion, Alice Paul. Educating women, of all ages, API seeks to create change through knowledge, tools and connection.
API is currently looking for volunteer docents to welcome visitors, lead tours and help at their gift shop. If you are interested in helping our 2020 grantee as a docent or in other ways, please check out their volunteer page for additional information.
Big Brothers Big Sister of Cumberland & Salem Counties
Become a mentor! Two time grantee Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland & Salem Counties has three programs to choose from that may fit your interest and schedule. Mentors are needed for students of all ages. The Impact100 SJ funded Mentor2.0 program makes it especially easy to work with high school students. Boys & Girls Club of Cumberland County
2022 Core Mission grantee Boys & Girls Club of Cumberland County provides a safe place for at-risk children to learn and grow. They offer after-school programs for healthy lifestyles, academics, community service, and recreational activities.
Their team conducts a series of events and activities for young people and their families throughout the year. If you love kids and love organizing events, you can help by volunteering or attending upcoming events. Contact BGC to learn more.
CASA of Atlantic, Cape May, and Camden Counties
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Atlantic, Cape May, and Camden Counties and its trained volunteers advocate for the best interests of children in the foster care system. Through collaborative efforts, CASA ensures children receive the individual attention and support they need to thrive.

Cathedral Kitchen
Cathedral Kitchen is the largest emergency food provider in Camden, NJ, serving more than 100,000 meals a year, and “volunteers are the heartbeat of the kitchen.”
Volunteers save many thousands of dollars in staffing costs by preparing and serving meals, cleaning up after meal service, picking up and delivering donated food or helping at the annual fundraiser. Two shifts are availabe for food service: 1-2:30 PM to set up the dining room before doors are open, and 2:30-5:30 PM to prepare, serve, and clean up after meal service.
Looking for a group volunteer activity with friends, family, or a community group? CK is a great organization to hold drives for food or personal care items, or make sandwiches for distribution to community members in need. Learn more and contact CK to sign up and volunteer.

Habitat for Humanity of Camden County
Help build a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Impact100 SJ members have assisted our 2023 grantee in two ways, and you can too!
Volunteer on a Build Site: No construction experience necessary. Assist with Habitat Homebuilding and make a big difference for a local family.
Volunteer at the Restore: Sort donations, take inventory, assist customers and arrange merchandise at their discount retail location. Proceeds from the ReStore support home building.

Heart of Camden
Heart of Camden (HoC) needs skilled volunteers and board members. Put your skills to work assisting Heart of Camden which helps children and families by providing affordable housing, community development and direct family services. HoC needs assistance specifically in the areas of accounting, financial management or strategic planning — either as part of its Board or as a volunteer on the Finance Committee. If this describes you, fill out their volunteer form to learn more.
If your time is limited but you want to help, holding a drive to collect items (ex. coat drive) for community needs is a great way to provide support too. HoC staff will be happy to work with you to organize a drive.
Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey
Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey, provides comprehensive programs and services that address the immediate needs (physical, mental, social, and economic) of the residents of Southern New Jersey, as well as establishes the organization as an instrument of change and a voice of power for those they serve and represent.

LUCY Outreach
LUCY Outreach serves hundreds of young people each year from elementary school age through college.
Have a skill or hobby you would love to share? Examples of activities you can bring to LUCY youth are gardening, bootcamp workouts, coding, tennis, dancing, bike rides, art, meditation/mindfulness, swimming and cooking — to name a few!
The High School students at LUCY would benefit from college and career support from mentors who can help them with financial aid applications, college essays, and college applications, as well as navigating the many career options that don’t require a college degree.

NJ Agricultural Society/Farmers Against Hunger
Impact100 SJ members have participated in several gleaning days, on-site at area farms, and have helped pack bags of produce at the Farmers Against Hunger (FAH) warehouse in Delran for distribution at nonprofits all around the region. If you are interested in helping our 2021 grantee alleviate food insecurity while rescuing food from waste in the fields, this organization is for you. Impact100 SJ members run reusable bag drives throughout the year to support FAH in their distribution of food. You can also organize bag drives among your friends.
Pinelands Preservation Alliance
Do you love the outdoors and want to protect South Jersey’s natural resources? Then 2022 grantee Pinelands Preservation Alliance (PPA) could use your help.
Join the Pinelands Community Network to put your advocacy skills to work. Or help the Alliance with clean ups, trail work, and other outdoor projects in the Pinelands National Reserve. You can also use your admin and organizational skills in their office or planning events, like their annual Tour de Pines bike event.

Ronald McDonald House of Southern NJ
Ronald McDonald House of Southern NJ (RMHSJ) received a 2019 grant to support their mission of providing hope, help, and home for families of seriously ill children. Families are provided with a temporary home close their children receiving critical medical care in area hospitals.
If feeding people who are going through a challenging time is your thing, RMHSJ needs you. Preparing meals in their on-site commercial kitchen at their Camden location helps families get the nourishment they need at the start of end of exhausting days overseeing their child’s care. This is a great activity for groups of friends and family. You can learn more and sign up to cook on their website. The Tender
The Tender is dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors and supporting caregivers in our community. Through comprehensive programs and services, they provide compassionate care, engaging activities, and vital resources to individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The goal is to enhance the quality of life for our members and offer much-needed respite for their families.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Companion Volunteers: Spend quality time with their members, offering companionship and emotional support.
- Committee Members: Join their Fundraising Committee or Financial Committee to help guide and support their growth and financial stability.
They are at a crucial point in their growth and will be launching an expansion campaign soon. Volunteers of all backgrounds and skill levels are welcome to join their team and make a positive impact on the lives of those they serve.

Women of Hope Resource Center
The Women of Hope Resource Center provides encouragement to families in our community by helping them explore various ways to enrich their quality of life, and offering services like effective counseling, mentoring, and referrals. The individuals they serve face issues that include homelessness, under-employment, unemployment, physical, mental or sexual abuse, family members trying to help their loved one’s escape from addiction, or care givers raising children for those in addiction or who have overdosed and/or passed away.

Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge
Are you and animal lover or concerned about natural habitats and ecosystems? Volunteer with two-time grantee Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Center and you can help preserve NJ’s wildlife and habitats.
