Member Spotlight: Kyle Ruffin

So many members have heard how Kyle feels about Impact100. As one of the founders and info session presenters, Kyle shares her feelings about the initiative she helped give birth to and the pride and joy it brings. Here's how Big Brothers Big Sisters and Hopeworks have been able to meet more needs and support more people with the collective funds we awarded each organization. Our 2019 grantee, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cumberland and Salem Counties, continues to recruit Big Brothers and Big Sisters for the first year of their Mentor2.0 program. It is rolling out with 46 students who attend Vineland High School. The students have a Mentor 2.0 class every Thursday co-taught by a BBBS Mentor 2.0 Program Manager and a Vineland High School teacher. In November, the students started to be matched with their Bigs. Says BBBSCS CEO Donna Bennett, "We have received great support from the school district during this process and everyone involved is excited about the Mentor2.0 program." Here's why she believe Impact100 South Jersey is a good community for her. My entire life I’ve been inspired by my mother and grandmothers to give back. All three of these very special women made time to volunteer for organizations they felt passionate about, making certain to donate not only money but their time. Lauren Regina, Impact100 SJ Membership Co-Chair and Leadership Council Member During June of 2018, I was scrolling through my Facebook page when one post, above anything else I’d read and seen that day, caught my attention. Pictured was a large group of women surrounding an oversized check held by representatives of Hopeworks, a local Camden charity. The check was in the amount $74,000! I studied the photo and reread the post several times and after a few seconds I said to myself, I’m going to join this group! Two months later, while attending a local community event, I was introduced to a polished and polite woman named Nancy. In Her Words...here's why she finds being involved with Impact100 South Jersey so rewarding. "Like many people, I have been involved in various charitable endeavors over the years. Often this consists of simply donating money, but sometimes the investment is greater and I give my time.
