BEYOND THE CHECK: 2 Hands-On Opportunities to Help 2023 Grantee Habitat for Humanity

If you like to roll up your sleeves and feel that intoxicating sense of accomplishment, these projects are for you! Space is limited, so make sure you RSVP as soon as possible.

Habitat for Humanity BUILD
Thursday October 5 | 9 AM to noon

Join in a Habitat for Humanity Build project on Thursday, October 5th from 9 am to noon in Camden. The build site is located at 649 Royden St., Camden, NJ 08103 and is part of their Homeownership Program. It’s currently vacant and being renovated to, upon completion, be sold to a family to help them achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life.

Impact100 SJ volunteers will prepare and install new windows throughout the home (no prior experience necessary). There may also be some yard work and other odd jobs. Habitat for Humanity will provide hard hats, goggles, and tools as well as instruction.

Street parking is available, but we will try to organize a carpool.

RSVP ASAP! This project is limited to 10 volunteers.

Habitat ReStore
Saturday, October 7th | 9 AM to noon

ReStore, which is located at 7937 Crescent Blvd (Rte. 130 S), Pennsauken, NJ, is a home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, used appliances, housewares, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. And the best part is every purchase helps them to continue building communities and empowering people in Camden County.

Impact100 South Jersey volunteers will process and move donations into a storage area or into the store for sale. You will not be expected to lift very heavy items.

RSVP ASAP! This project is limited to 10 volunteers.
