GRANTEE SPOTLIGHT: Hispanic Family Center

The Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey (HFC), a 2024 grant recipient, provides comprehensive programs and services that address the immediate needs (physical, mental, social, and economic) of the residents of Southern New Jersey, as well as establishes the organization as an instrument of change and a voice of power for those they serve and represent. The $27,500 General Operating Grant is unrestricted funding, however HFC will use the funds towards the project outlined in their core mission grant application to create a Mental Health Healing Garden. Newly sworn-in Camden County CASA Volunteers Impact100 South Jersey 2024 Core Mission grant recipient, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Atlantic, Cape May, and Camden Counties, is making strides in Camden County to provide needed one-on-one advocacy for children removed from their homes due to allegations of abuse or neglect. Impact100 South Jersey funding has allowed them to increase public awareness, build Camden County relationships, and increase volunteer engagement through community awareness, public relations, and media outreach. Doyle (MJD) Fieldhouse. The core of their mission is to Improve the lives of women, children, and families living in low-to-moderate income households in the Waterfront South neighborhood, South Camden, and the City of Camden as a whole. In mid-2021, as New Jersey prepared to lift its COVID-19 eviction moratorium. Impact100 South Jersey member Rosemarie Parker, CEO of Family Promise of Southwest New Jersey, foresaw an impending housing crisis. With rental rates left unchecked by state legislation, Parker knew the coming months would bring skyrocketing housing costs and a surge of eviction cases. Courts began to see an influx, with judges hearing up to 75 cases daily. Parker and her dedicated team sprang into action, striving to help the increasing number of families in need navigate this daunting legal landscape.
