Mindy Holman is no stranger to the concept of philanthropy. She grew up in a family that was always charitable and maintained a commitment to always give back to their community. This was especially so through her family’s nearly 100 year old automotive business, Holman Enterprises, that was founded by her grandfather. Mindy joined Holman Enterprises, in 1986, becoming President and CEO in 2004 and Chairman of the Board in 2015. As the third generation leader, Mindy continues her family’s philanthropic legacy to support the communities where their employees and customers live and work. In her personal life, Mindy gives her time, treasures and talents serving in leadership roles with several local community organizations.
In 2007, Mindy was introduced to the idea of collective giving that would be there forever to support the local community. Mindy, along with four other philanthropic minded south Jersey residents, founded the Community Foundation of South Jersey (CFSJ). CFSJ became a formal, organized and collaborative giving organization that would know firsthand those doing the great work in the South Jersey community. One aspect of a Community Foundation that especially excited her was the concept of “Giving Circles”, where people could come together and collectively make an impact. Fast-forward to 2016 Mindy was inspired by her fellow CFSJ board members, Kyle Ruffin and Theresa DiVietro who brought that concept to life as they began laying the groundwork to create a collective giving group among women. With Impact 100 South Jersey founded in 2017 and beginning its membership drive for the 2018 inaugural grant year, Mindy became one of the 74 charter members and remains a member to this day. She is gratified that the work begun 15 years ago has produced such fruit, and is grateful to the women who made it happen!
Mindy finds the growth and transition of what Impact100 SJ is today so rewarding. She is proud to be a part of a collective group of 200 awesome women who have banded together to do some amazing things. This is a wonderful sisterhood making impactful results! She sees Impact100 as providing a wonderful entrance into the world of philanthropy, where you can leverage your gift to have so much more reach than you could have done on your own.
Mindy’s additional philanthropic affiliations include former Chair of the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, former Chair and Emeritus member of the Community Foundation of South Jersey, and current Chair of Urban Promise International.
Mindy lives in Moorestown, NJ with her husband, Frank Beideman. They have two sons together, Brad and Joe. Her favorite pastime is being with her family in Ocean City and never knowing how many of their sons’ friends they will have as guests!
