MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Jaime Desman

Jaime Desman grew up in Mt. Laurel and attended Lenape High School.  She went to Boston University to major in hospitality management. Once graduating, Jaime moved to Denver and lived there until 2020. While she was in Denver, Jaime donated blood, volunteered for Outdoor Colorado (the state’s oldest outdoor non-profit organization that motivates and enables people to become active stewards of natural resources), food banks, and Habitat for Humanity.

Jaime moved back to South Jersey during the pandemic. Her mother, Barbara Schwartz, introduced her to Impact100 SJ, knowing Jaime had always loved being active in community service and doing more than just writing a check.

Jaime became an Impact 100 SJ member in 2021. She jumped in with both feet, joining both the financial review and grant review committees last year. This year, Jaime is co-chairing the Education grant review committee. “I love to help people feel that they are seen and heard. In Impact100 SJ, every member gets a voice, and we do so much to support the South Jersey community.”

Since moving back to the South Jersey area, Jaime has gotten an MBA and with her boyfriend, bought a house in Medford Lakes with her dog Cooper, and cat Sammie. Other than Impact 100 SJ, she donates clothes, helps out with coat collections, volunteered for a day of service at the Medford JCC and participates in local community fundraisers.

Currently, Jaime works for Holman’s fleet department as an account executive. She is very happy with her current job due to the Holman family environment and their caring and compassion for their employees. In fact, Holman is now sponsoring Jaime’s membership for Impact 100 SJ.

Jaime loves spending time in nature, as she believes it is a healing component of well-being. In her spare time, she loves to hike, read, cook, travel and spend time with family.
