Thanks to 74 Charter Members of Impact100 South Jersey, we will award a $74,000 grant to one non-profit that serves Burlington, Camden, Gloucester or Cumberland County in 2018.
Step 1. Determine Eligibility
Organizations considering applying for a grant should consult the Eligibility and Guidelines and the Grant FAQs to familiarize themselves with our grant process and to determine their likelihood of receiving funding.
Applicants also have the opportunity to attend a Grant Information Session that will be held on January 23, 2018. The Information Session will walk applicants through the eligibility, process, and timeline. Please note: it is not mandatory to attend this Information Session in order to apply for a grant.
Step 2. Letter of Inquiry Application
Once an organization determines its eligibility for a grant from Impact100 SJ, they may fill out and submit a Letter Of Inquiry. The LOI application will be available on this website in mid-January. The deadline for LOI submission is February 23, 2018.
Step 3. Invitation to Submit a Full Proposal
Impact100 SJ will reviews all Letters of Inquiry and notify every applicant as to whether or not they have been selected to submit a full proposal no later than March 16, 2018.
Step 4. Full Proposal Application
Applicants invited to submit a full proposal will need to have completed all required forms and information for submission by April 6. 2018.
Step 5. Site Visit
Impact100 SJ Focus Area Committees will review all proposals and notify applicants if they have been selected for a site visit. Those organizations not selected for a site visit are considered to be no longer in the running for a grant.
The goal of the site visit is to conduct further due diligence into the organization and resolve any final questions. Site visits will be conducted in mid-May and should include the participation of the Executive Director of the organization as well as the main financial representative and, ideally, a board member.
Step 6. Selection of Finalists
Following the site visit, each Focus Area Committee will select one finalist. The three finalists will be announced in early June. Finalists will receive guidelines for making presentations to the Impact100 SJ membership at the Annual Meeting to take place in mid-late June (date TBD).
Step 7. Finalist Presentation and Selection of Grantee
At the Annual Meeting, Impact100 SJ members will vote by individual ballot (or by absentee ballot in advance of the Annual Meeting) to select the grant recipient. The voting results will be tabulated and announced at the event.
Prior to the release of the grant funds, the recipient must complete a Grant Agreement with Impact100 SJ. The grant may be distributed in installments, depending on the terms agreed upon by the recipient and Impact100 SJ. The grant recipient will be required to submit periodic reports on the project to Impact100 SJ as specified in the Grant Agreement.
