Two-time Grantee, Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS)of Cumberland & Salem Counties sees Impact100SJ members as a path to their success. BBBS of Cumberland & Salem Counties has received two Impact100 South Jersey grants in four years. In 2019, they were awarded our Core Mission grant of $100K to help launch their new Mentor2.0 project which uses iMentor technology to match high school students with mentors. This year, they were one of two 2023 recipients of a $55,500 general operating grant. The BBBS mission is “to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of young people. Their vision is that all youth achieve their full potential. A member since 2019, Cindy Washko-Margraf was a bit disappointed that she didn’t know about Impact100 South Jersey one year earlier. Being a philanthropist at heart, she deeply endorses the concept of collective giving and would have loved to have been a charter member. Nevertheless, she is very proud to be a member for the last five years and to be a part of such an impactful group of women making a real difference in South Jersey. Cindy and her late husband raised their children in Medford though she recently sold the family home and now lives full time in their Ocean City home. Impact100 SJ Receives Oaks Integrated Care’s Rooted In Community Award

On June 8, Impact100 South Jersey was among four recipients of Oaks Integrated Care's Rooted In Community Awards. The event took place at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. Oaks Integrated Care is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families living with a mental illness, addiction or developmental disability. The organization offers over 230 health and social service programs throughout New Jersey designed to meet the needs of our community with compassion. Members Visit Grantee Alice Paul Institute To Learn About The Local Legend

Alice Paul: In Pursuit of Ordinary Equality Written by Impact100 Member Ginny DeLong On May 6th, the Non-Profit Outreach Committee welcomed 20 Impact100 SJ members to Paulsdale, the ancestral home of women’s suffrage leader Alice Paul and now the headquarters of the Alice Paul Institute (API). The organization was the 2020 recipient of a $43,000 general operating grant that was used to help expand the national reach of its girl’s leadership programs by enhancing their digital presence. During the brief lecture and slide presentation by volunteer Mary Kimport, Impact members learned about the life and work of Alice Paul, the history of what was once a 175-acre farm, and the incredible struggle to win the right to vote for women. Impact100 South Jersey Raised and Will Award $211,000 in Grants to Local Nonprofits in 2023

Impact100 South Jersey announced that for 2023 it has recruited 211members, which will allow the group to award $211,000 to local nonprofits.
