Volunteer Committees

Impact100 South Jersey is completely volunteer driven. Although members are only required to make their annual contribution, we encourage women who want to play a larger role to join one of the volunteer committees that carry out the work.


Membership

Members are vital to the success of Impact100 South Jersey.  Committee members formulate strategies for new member recruitment, plan and staff member information and social events.  This committee also connects with members to better understand their experiences with and ideas for Impact100 South Jersey.

Grant Review 

Committee members will learn how to evaluate grant proposals from applicants, attend site visits and recommend finalists for Impact100 South Jersey’s grant awards.

Grant Finance

Committee members are responsible for reviewing the financials submitted by applicants as part of the grant approval process.  Note: members should be comfortable using spreadsheets and have some experience with finance or accounting.

Nonprofit Outreach

The role of the non-profit outreach committee is to build a connection with the non-profit community in the four counties in which we serve, and to maintain the connection between Impact100 South Jersey and its grantees.

Events

Committee members plan and execute “The Big Reveal” as well as social and networking events. Additionally, the Events Committee manages the pre- and post-event logistics for our Annual Meeting in June when grant finalists present, members vote, and grant winners are announced.

PR/Communications

Committee members generate exposure for Impact100 South Jersey through traditional and new media.  This committee manages the website, designs tools to communicate with members and shares the impact that this initiative has in our local community.  Experience in one or more areas of marketing, public relations and electronic communication, and ability to independently manage tactics is preferred.

Resource Development

Committee members secure corporate and other sponsorships that allow Impact100 SJ to offset administrative costs, recruitment and member engagement activities. They also manage our sponsor relationships and work with marketing and events committees to ensure that sponsors receive the benefits they are promised.

Finance & Admin

Committee members manage the financial aspects of Impact100 South Jersey and provide administrative support where needed. They track and monitor membership and sponsor contributions as well as track expenses and committee budgets. This committee provides valuable oversight  — ensuring that we make the best and most efficient use of our funds.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Task Force

This ad-hoc committee is designed to explore ways Impact100 South Jersey can positively and meaningfully influence diversity, equity and inclusion in our region. We are in the exploratory stage of developing a strategy.
