Shereen Chen Gray came to America with her parents when she was 2 years old. At the age of 16, Shereen became a U.S. citizen. As an immigrant, Shereen observed family members who could not speak English arrive in the United States and learn to adapt and grow to take care of their families. This is a strength that Shereen has admired and been inspired by throughout her life. This experience has led her to a successful career as an Immigration attorney which has led her to want to give back to those who are in need.
Several of Shereen’s friends and business acquaintances belong to Impact100 South Jersey. After hearing about the great work Impact100 South Jersey does in giving high-impact grants to area nonprofits, she wanted to get involved to help as well. Shereen is serving as the 2023 Vice Chair of the Resource Development Committee.
Shereen is excited about her new role in Impact100 South Jersey. “This is an amazing group of women who have come together to make sure that non-profits in our area are poised to do great things. The grants that are awarded help further their missions and projects thus enabling them to better serve their communities, said Shereen.
Shereen’s firm, Chen Gray Law in Marlton, NJ, handles all aspects of immigration and nationality services including, employer sponsorship, work visas, citizenship, and athlete and entertainer visas – to name a few categories.
In addition to being a member of Impact100 South Jersey, Shereen sits on the boards of the American Red Cross of Southern New Jersey, VolunteerUP Legal Clinic, Mt. Laurel Diversity and Inclusion Board and PAWS for People. She was named 2023 Woman to Watch by South Jersey Biz and received the 2022 Diversity in Business Award from the Philadelphia Business Journal. Since 2008, Shereen has spoken at the Burlington County Law Day Ceremony where new U.S. citizens are recognized.
“I am looking forward to an exciting year with Impact,” said Shereen, “If you are interested in being a sponsor, please reach out to me at shereen@chengraylaw.com.
