Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge
4 Sawmill Road, Medford, NJ 08055
Join fellow Impact100 South Jersey members and bring friends and/or family to Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge for a leisurely self-guided hike/stroll of their 3 miles of trails with interpretive signs around the lake. This is great activity for the kids or grand kids!
We’ll gather at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 1st in the new covered pavilion that an Impact100 SJ grant helped to fund. We’ll return there after about a one-hour hike for cold drinks and lunch.
Cedar Run features 171 acres of protected “Green Acres” Pinelands habitat. Along the walk, you’ll spot many local plants and animals that call Cedar Run home — like the rare pink lady slipper, the teeny-tiny bug-eating round-leaf sundew, or hear the banjo-like call of the Northern green frog.
The family-friendly trails are well-marked along sandy terrain and vary in length. Just be sure to be on the lookout for the Jersey Devil!
No dogs are allowed.
